New stuff I've gotten/MF 6 quick reviews.

Diamanthian-Arcana Doctrina CD (Ossuary Industries). UK black /death/doom in the old vein of Morbid Angel, Immolation, and Demigod(Finland). Good stuff. Not breaking any new ground but personally I can't get enough of death metal when it's done this gloomy. Jeff Walker of Carcass fame drew the bands logo! http://www.myspace.com/diamanthian

The Wounded Kings-The Shadow Over Atlantis CD(I HATE). Yeah, well the doom scene already had a "Forest Of Equilibrium " come out. I'll pass on another. For whats it's worth, I do dig the music. The vocals...not so much.

Hellish Crossfire-Bloodrust Scythe CD(I HATE). Boring and flat thrash. When is this gay thrash revival going to pass!? The bio I got with the promo states thrash metal in comparison to the old German bands. I hear more Slayer than Sodom! More Possessed than Living Death! I can't recall one memorable riff from Hellish Crossfire. Cos that don't have any. Same ole' same ole'. Next...

Impureza - Tworzenia, Resurrezione, Démence(Hellspawn, Hateful, Impureza) 3 way split CDR(Nihilistic Holocaust)
Hellspawn from Poland play brutal death metal in the Morbid Angel style. Plenty of good blast beats and well placed solos to keep me interested. http://www.hellspawn.metal.pl/
Hateful from Italy remind me a bit of Suffocation. Nothing real special. http://www.myspace.com/hatefuldeathmetal
Impureza out of France play Death Metal with Flamenco parts and Spanish lyrics. Musical they actually remind of Diabolic from Florida. I actually preferred the demo tracks included better than newer material from these guys. This 3 way came out awhile back but inquire at http://www.myspace.com/nihilisticholocaust

Obscure Infinity-Split CDR featuring: Carmina, Amethyste, Atrophy, Darklord(Nihilistic Holocaust)
Carmina play American old school styled death metal ala Immolation, Nile, Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal. Good stuff http://www.myspace.com/carminagrind! Amethyste are cross between Origin and Morbid Angel. Death-grind stuff here. The production kinda hinders me liken this more than I could http://www.myspace.com/amethyste777 Atrophy play equal amounts Suffocation, Death, Atheist. http://www.myspace.com/atrophy73 and Darklord play bestial black death metal comparable to BELIAL, old IMPALED NAZARENE, ARCHGOAT, DEICIDE with some keyboards like old Emperor. The mix for these tracks are horrible. I can barley make anything out. http://www.myspace.com/darklordlegion As with the above split inquire about availability at: http://www.myspace.com/nihilisticholocaust

Bleeding The Fist(Deep Vein, Bloody Sign, Oppression) 3 way split DYI CDR(Nihilistic Holocaust)
Bloody Sign is the best out of the lot. Well done Morbid Angel worship. Oppression was the odd man out here though, playing thrash metal ala Vio-lence, Sadus, and Anthrax. No thanks! http://www.myspace.com/deepveincryptic http://www.myspace.com/oppressionswe

Glaukom Synod-Hydrocephalizer/Obessism XXIII
CDR(Nihilistic Holocaust)
Industrial, dark electro, extreme metal mixed with some moments of harsh noise are what can be found on these 2 release. Kinda like later Dissecting Table, S.M.E.S, Front line assembly, and Godflesh all thrown together. It has it's moments, some the harsher noise is cool but over all the cut-up sampling drives me nuts. http://www.myspace.com/glaukomsynod

Black Bleeding-The Awakening
CDR(Nihilistic Holocaust)
Solid heavy blasting death metal. Kinda like a more edger Edge Of Sanity with some Dissection melody. I believe you can download their latest album for free still at their Myspace page!? http://www.myspace.com/beerbleeding

Adam Fritz
Profile:
En Nihil began recording in 1994, and over the course of 3 years from 1994 to 1997 created a substantial amount of music stretching into every subgenre of the experimental realm. Everything from melodic "songs", tribal rhythms, ethereal drifts, dark ambient, chaotic harsh noise, rhythmic noise, cut-up sound collages, noise ambient, field recordings and so on, all of them with a dark, emotional side ranging from minimalism to detailed, heavily layered and intricate productions to pure improvisation. All of this illustrating a spectrum very few artists have explored this completely, and augmented every step of the way with an introspective understanding of personal darkness, the cryptic savagery of human emotion and the scrutiny of a critical mind looking at itself.

EN NIHIL WILL RELEASE "THE ABSOLUTE" VIA LOVE EARTH MUSIC LATE SUMMER EARLY FALL! THIS IS EN NIHIL'S FIRST FULL LENGTH CD SINCE 1998'S "BLOOD DREAMS" CD ON RRR/PURE AND "DEATH KEEPS" ON RED STREAM. THESE ALBUMS HELPED GIVE BIRTH TO THE TERMS DARK NOISE/BLACK AMBIENT AMONG AMERICAN EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC AND THOSE WHO FALLOWED.. THE RETURN OF EN NIHIL!!

*Got a one track advance from Adam recently. Based upon the preview, I'm really looking forward to this. Rhythmic old school industrial/noise messed nicely with dark ambiance. Just like I remember.

Check out the short films of friend by the name Charles Chadwick:

Charles Chadwick is a filmmaker residing in San Francisco, California, and is a graduate student at the San Francisco Art Institute. His recent work has focused on documenting and poeticizing sites of societal neglect: old prisons, abandoned naval bases and shipyards, once prosperous towns, and outright ghost towns, as well as working with found footage. His films have played at such venues as The Hummadruz Global Sounds Film Festival (which toured Japan), The International Experimental Cinema Exposition, Craig Baldwin's Other Cinema, the 11th Festival des Cinema Differentsas in Paris, France, as well as at others both national and international.

He can be contacted at infiltration834@gmail.com

I think many industrial/noise fans will find appreciation in Charles visuals and musical accompaniments.
